DAILY ISTANBUL VILLAGE TOUR ITINERARY:

In the middle of the 19th Jhs. immigrant from Poland founded the Turkish village of Adampol, otherwise known as the "Poland Village". Today it is known as a sophisticated quiet country family vacation. In spring everything is blooming, the fruit trees shine in full splendor, and the village celebrates the occasion with their annual cherry festival in Autumn.

The quaint church, surrounded by daisies and off to the side of the main road is visible before you enter the village. Walking up the flowered lane in the cool shade of the trees with the church rising up ahead of you, you truly feel yourself to be entering a place of sanctuary. The church is beautiful in its simplicity both from the inside and outside and is well worth a visit. Across the road in the small peaceful cemetery lie the graves of all the Polish founders and residents. Church open only on Saturdays (grounds accessible every day)

There are bicycles for rent and horses for riding. There are still some Polish families who farm the land mainly for organic products, make their own cherry and walnut liqueur and bake Polish pies and breads.
